SUMMER QUEST

There is nothing more exciting or satisfying than the quest for new and expanded knowledge. This summer at The Boat School - Husson in Eastport they will be offering numerous programs throughout the season people of all ages. From lofting and photography, to building half-models, building furniture, introduction to computers, building a website, navigation, boat handling and celestial navigation to name a few.

"From a couple of days to a full week, our Summer Quest offerings will fill your summer with spirited growth and exciting new knowledge and understanding of the things you have a quest for," says Boat School administrator John Miller. "The latest trend in vacationing is the learning vacation. Far from the boring, dry and tedious classroom environment, the learning vacation puts you in situations that are fun, relaxing and at the same time challenging. Learning is the end result of an enjoyable vacation experience. William Butler Yeats once wrote education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire... and that is what we hope to do with Summer Quest here at The Boat School-Husson."
